The 4 Key Challenges of AI Search Measurement
[Headline Sponsor: STAT]

Many sites may conclude that it’s not yet time to invest heavily in AI search.

The ecosystem is rapidly changing, the ROI is unclear, & the traffic potential is low. However, this view overlooks the direction search is heading in.

There is a growing acceptance that AI search is only going to become more relevant as time goes on. Now is, at the very least, the time to start measuring — to set a baseline, & understand the risk and opportunity a bit better.

Just as with AI search tactics, we shouldn’t go about AI search measurement by copy-pasting our SEO playbook.

There are 4 key challenges in the measurement of AI visibility:

  1. Measuring brand visibility, not traffic
  2. Defining what counts as "ranking"
  3. Shifting focus from keywords to prompts
  4. Adjusting to variable search responses

STAT shares the details, key shift, & what to do about each challenge:

Navigating Google’s AI Mode: A Guide for Local Businesses
Miriam Ellis | WTSKnowledge

~AI Overviews appear on ~68% of local searches.

Miriam Ellis has your playbook on how to stay visible, including:

  • How local search works now
  • Challenges local businesses face with Google AI Mode
  • How to Improve your local business' visibility on Google AI Mode
  • How local search will likely evolve

Scraping to Strategy: Turn Customer Reviews Into Content Opps
Ana De La Cruz, Catherine Kim, & Celeste Gonzalez | WTSTalk Recap

Customer reviews are more than reputation signals.

They contain the language people use to describe their needs, the problems they are trying to solve & the experiences that shape how they feel about a brand.

Check out last week's webinar recap for a complete walkthrough of ways to collect, analyse & organise review & customer data - then turn it into useful content & business opportunities.

WTSFest Philly memory
When 6 members went & got our WTS logo tattooed after the conference 😭

"I don't even know what to say anymore, I am so overwhelmed by what I created once upon a time, when I was struggling to find a space to belong.

I've changed so much since then, and WTS has grown into something that's bigger than me.

I've known this for sometime already, but seeing this picture was the confirmation that I needed that this community is no longer mine.

It belongs to our members, each and every single one of them."

- Areej

Less than 2 months until we get to see ya again, Philly! 💙💜
